The Gray-Doolittle Awards for Research Excellence were established in 2018 to acknowledge the outstanding scientific contributions of emeritus professors Michael W. Gray and W. Ford Doolittle of the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology.

Sari Matar, an Honours student in the laboratory of Professor John Archibald, is the winner of the 2024 (junior category award). The 2024 senior category award goes to two recipients:  1) Brent Robicheau for this publication:  Robicheau, B.M. et al.
