The Gray-Doolittle Awards acknowledge the outstanding scientific contributions of emeritus professors Michael W. Gray and W. Ford Doolittle of the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology.

This year’s junior award (a $50 book prize) goes to Emma Fennessy, an undergraduate co-op student who worked in the Archibald Lab.

The senior award ($300 in cash) goes to Dr. Noor Youssef, a former Ph.D. student (co-supervised by Joe Bielawski and Ed Susko)
for her exceptional contributions to “Consequences of Stability-Induced Epistasis for Substitution Rates”, published in a Molecular Biology & Evolution (Youssef, Susko and Bielawski. 2020. 37, 3131-3148).

Congratulations Emma and Noor!
